This course will provide laboratory experiences for the skeletal, muscular, nervous, sensory, endocrine, circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, and excretory systems. These laboratory exercises constitute the majority the grade in this class. Hence, regular attendance is required for a passing grade. Further, full participation in lab exercises will greatly enhance your performance in the lecture portion of this class. Corequisite: LSPE 218 - Anatomy & Physiology Text: Hole, John W. Jr., Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology, Laboratory Manual, 5th edition. Evaluation: Laboratory exercises will comprise the major portion of the available points. Quizzes (both announced and unannounced) will be given randomly. The grading scale is as follows: 32 Lab Exercises @ 10 points each 320 points Quizzes 20 points each 90 - 100% A 60 - 69% D 80 - 89% B Below 60% F 70 - 79% C IMPORTANT: If you are going to miss a lab or a quiz (announced), you must make prior arrangements with the professor to avoid getting a ZERO. Missed unannounced quiz grades will be dropped if the absence is excused (University policies apply).
